AND THEN OBVIOUSLY EMPHASIZING COMMUNICATION ON THE PROGRESS OF THESE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. ONE OF THE WAYS THAT WE DO ENHANCE COMMUNICATION ON THESE PRIORITIES IS THROUGH THE QUARTERLY REPORTS. SO EACH QUARTER, THIS IS COMPILED TO SHOW THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS SPECIFICALLY SUPPORTING COUNCIL PRIORITIES. AND THESE ARE ALSO FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE AS WELL. ONE OF THE ACTIVITIES WE DO IS TO FIND OUT WHAT ARE 1 OR 2 OF COUNCIL'S TOP ACCOMPLISHMENTS THAT THEY ARE PROUD OF FROM THE PREVIOUS YEAR. SO JUST HIGHLIGHTING SOME OF THOSE WE HAD SOME GROUNDBREAKING PROJECTS WHERE WE LITERALLY ARE DOING GROUNDBREAKING FOR GOOGLE AND THE QTS DATA CENTERS. IN FLOOD CONTROL, THE 12TH AVENUE PUMP STATION, WHICH WAS RECENTLY OPENED, AND THE MCLOUD RUN NATURALIZATION PROJECT THAT BRINGS TOGETHER BOTH FLOOD CONTROL AS WELL AS NATURALIZATION OF THAT AREA. ALWAYS PAVING FOR PROGRESS IS NOTED. THE MOUNT VERNON ROAD ROUNDABOUT AS WELL AS SOME TRAILS PROJECTS THAT MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE. THE EDGEWOOD ROAD BRIDGE CROSSING AS WELL AS THESE PHOTOS HERE SHOW A BEFORE AND AFTER OF THE BOWLING STREET RECONSTRUCTION, WHICH IS SUCH A BENEFIT TO THAT NEIGHBORHOOD AND HELPS WITH CONNECTIVITY. ANOTHER TOP ACCOMPLISHMENT IS THE FOCUS ON THE RIVERFRONT ACTIVATION. SO THE DOWNTOWN VISION PLAN IMPLEMENTATION IS HAPPENING. SOME OF THE VERY VISIBLE SIGNS ARE THE CEDAR RAPIDS SIGN AND THE TREE PLANTING ON MAY'S ISLAND, AS WELL AS THE ALLIANT ENERGY LIGHTLINE AND LIGHTLINE LOOP GROUNDBREAKINGS. WE ALSO PARTICIPATED IN A BLOOMBERG HARVARD INNOVATION PROGRAM AND GENERATED OVER 995 IDEAS FROM THE PUBLIC AS WELL AS STAFF, WITH 15 NEW IDEAS BEING EXPLORED FURTHER. AGAIN, REALLY CREATING THAT COMMUNITY SUPPORT AND EXCITEMENT FOR THE RIVERFRONT ACTIVATION. PUBLIC ART WAS ALSO NOTED. SO AGAIN, A LOT OF NEIGHBORHOOD ART INITIATIVES WITH THE 15TH STREET. LOCAL ARTIST HAS BEEN SELECTED AND THAT NEIGHBORHOOD ENGAGEMENT IS BEGINNING. AS WELL AS THE DELANEY PARK BASKETBALL COURT MURAL. AND THEN PARTNERSHIPS WITH WORKING WITH THE SCHOOL DISTRICT TO HAVE STUDENTS HELP WITH ARTWORK ON OUR TRUCKS AS WELL AS MURALS AT THE GROUND TRANSPORTATION CENTER AND THE 8TH AVENUE BRIDGE TRAIL, THE RAIN ART. AND ALSO ENGAGEMENT SO A SECOND MOBILE ART TOUR HAS BEEN LAUNCHED FOR THE CZECH VILLAGE, NEW BOHEMIA AREA. AND THEN THE OTHER THING THAT IS WE'RE VERY PROUD OF IS THE SUSTAINABILITY OF OUR ART, OUR PUBLIC ART PROGRAM, WHICH IS LOOKING AT MAIN10ANCE OF OUR COLLECTIONS. SO WITH THE STATUE OF LIBERTY REPLICA AND THE CRYSTAL IMPRESSION RECEIVING SOME OF THAT MAIN10ANCE. AND THEN, AS ALWAYS, OUR ACCREDITATIONS ARE VERY IMPORTANT FOR US AND OUR VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS. AND THEN ALSO THE LAUNCH OF THE LANDLORD 10ANT SUCCESS INITIATIVE, WHICH HAS BEEN FUNDED THROUGH THE CEDAR RAPIDS BANK AND TRUST. AND WE HAVE NOW OVER 20 FOLKS THAT HAVE BEEN HOUSED, AS WELL AS 54 LANDLORDS THAT ARE ENROLLED AND WILLING TO WORK WITH US ON THIS PROJECT. SO HERE ARE THE 7 COUNCIL PRIORITIES AND THESE ARE CONSISTENT. COUNCIL IS COMMITTED TO THESE WHICH WERE THE SAME AS LAST YEAR. BUT I WOULD SAY IN THE DISCUSSION AT THE PRIORITY SETTING IT WAS VERY NOTICEABLE ABOUT SOME OF THE INTERDEPENDENCIES THAT THE THESE HAVE WITH EACH OTHER. SO FOR INSTANCE, WHEN WE'RE DOING RECREATIONAL AND CULTURAL AMENITIES, HOW THAT HELPS US TO ATTRACT AND RETAIN SKILLED WORKFORCE AND HOW THAT IS CREATING A BUSINESS-FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT FOR OUR COMMUNITY. SO I'LL JUST RUN THROUGH THESE REALLY QUICKLY. FLOOD CONTROL SYSTEM REMAINS A HIGH PRIORITY. WE CONTINUE TO LOOK FOR AND SECURE FUNDING FOR THE REMAINING COSTS OF THAT, AS WELL AS COORDINATE THE CONSTRUCTION TO MINIMIZE ADVERSE IMPACTS AND OPTIMIZE OUR PROJECTS. SO AGAIN, MAKING SURE WE'RE ENHANCING THAT ENVIRONMENT. HOUSING OPTIONS AND AFFORDABILITY. AGAIN, THE CONTINUED EMPHASIS ON PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE SPECTRUM OF HOUSING THAT IS NEEDED FOR A HEALTHY FOR A HEALTHY COMMUNITY AND SEEKING PRIVATE AND PUBLIC RESOURCES TO CREATE MORE AFFORDABLE UNITS. AND THEN THE RECREATIONAL AND CULTURAL AMENITIES. AGAIN, THIS IS CRITICAL TO ATTRACT AND RETAINING WORKFORCE. I THINK THE OTHER IMPORTANT PIECE IS SERVING ALL AGES AND ABILITIES THROUGHOUT THE COMMUNITY. SO THIS IMAGE HERE OF THE WORK THAT'S GOING ON TO TRANSFORM CEDAR LAKE IS REALLY SHOWING THAT THERE ARE AMENITIES THAT ARE BEING CONSTRUCTED THAT ARE FREE TO USE FOR THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY. AND THEN, AS MENTIONED BEFORE, HOMELESSNESS AGAIN, CONSTANTLY MESSAGING THAT THE INDIVIDUALS EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS ARE OUR FRIENDS, FAMILY AND NEIGHBORS. AND SO CONTINUING TO COLLABORATE WITH LINN COUNTY, WITH OUR LOCAL NONPROFITS TO MAKE MEASURABLE IMPROVEMENTS IN OUR COMMUNITY AND WITH THE GOAL OF ENDING, PREVENTING AND ENDING CHRONIC HOMELESSNESS IN OUR COMMUNITY.
